Filmmaker Solomon Nagbe and Tantrum's Lucy Shepherd have just completed a year-long project of dance, drama and filmmaking workshops with a wonderful group of newly arrived young people from various local high schools. The communication, team work, creative expression, self esteem and English language skills learnt through this process have been invaluable to the students.

Using the classical story of Antigone as a stimulus, the group scripted, rehearsed and filmed their own version of Antigone and premiered it at Amnesty's Divercity Festival held at Newcastle Museum Sun 22 June 2014, to celebrate Refugee Week. Another film written and made by participants, Love is Friendship, will be shown alongside Antigone at the 2015 Refugee Week Film Festival. View the Antigone film below:
