Join local professional playwright Vanessa Bates for the first Culture Club event of 2018, the first public reading of her new work-in-development; Captain Dalisay.

A sister. A mother. An annoying little brother. A missing grandfather, suddenly found. A boat in the stars, a witch with a thousand eyes in her head, cut-throat kites and a tarsier looking for land. Captain Dalisay is an adventure in love, loss, family and culture. Inspired by Asian mythology, a childhood in Penang in the 70's and a mysterious Filipino sea-captain grandfather, this is a play for grownup children and childish grownups alike.
